Overview

Durandal.gg is a free fan site. We collect the minimum data needed to run the service. You can use the weapon dashboard without an account and without giving us your email. This page explains what we collect when you do interact with the site.

Data We Collect

If you create an account

Account creation is handled by Clerk (clerk.com). We receive your email address and a unique user ID from Clerk when you sign up. We store a flag in your account indicating whether you have subscribed to patch update emails. We do not store passwords — Clerk handles all authentication.

If you submit your email

If you enter your email via the sign-up prompt on the site, that address is added to our mailing list on Resend (resend.com). You will receive occasional emails about Marathon patch updates. Every email includes an unsubscribe link. To be removed manually, email hi@durandal.gg.

If you submit feedback or community intel

The feedback form and community intel form collect the text you type and, for feedback, the current page URL. This is forwarded directly to a private Discord channel and is not stored in our database. Discord's privacy policy applies once the message is delivered.

Browser storage

We store a session counter and dismissal state in your browser's localStorage and sessionStorage to control how often the email prompt appears. This data never leaves your device.

Analytics

This site uses Google Tag Manager to measure page views and usage. Google Tag Manager may set cookies and collect your IP address and browser information. You can opt out via your browser's cookie settings or a browser extension such as uBlock Origin.

Third-Party Services

The following services process data on our behalf:

Clerk (clerk.com) — authentication, account management, and session handling. Processes your email and user ID.
Resend (resend.com) — email delivery. Stores your email address if you subscribe to patch updates.
Google Tag Manager — analytics and event tracking. May set cookies and process IP addresses.
Convex (convex.dev) — our backend database. Stores weapon stats only. No personal data is stored here.
Vercel (vercel.com) — hosting and edge delivery. Processes request logs including IP addresses per their standard infrastructure terms.
Discord (discord.com) — receives feedback and community intel submissions you send via the site's forms.

Data Retention

Account data is retained in Clerk until you delete your account. Email addresses are retained in Resend until you unsubscribe or request deletion. Browser storage (session counters) is retained locally until you clear your browser data. We do not retain feedback or intel submissions — they exist only in Discord once forwarded.

Your Rights

You can delete your account via your account settings at any time. To have your email removed from our mailing list, use the unsubscribe link in any email or contact us at hi@durandal.gg. To clear local browser data, clear your browser's localStorage and sessionStorage for this site.

Changes

We may update this policy as the site evolves. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the site after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
